I think the device that was previously controlled by HP 3D DriveGuard is HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor (id: ACPI/HPQ6007). I've also checked the Windows device manager to see whether there would be some alerts but nope, everything is ok. According to HP Support Assistant everything is up to date. Today after installing several Windows 10 updates including the bigger 1803 Creators update from April 2018, I noticed that the tray icon for HP 3D DriveGuard is no longer there. I reinstalled Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion Power 15 notebook a couple days ago.
